Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Project Accountant in Yeovil to support the Senior Project Accountant with financial management of major, long-term contracts. You will provide financial guidance, ensure robust controls, and deliver accurate budgeting, forecasting and IFRS-compliant reporting.

You will work with IPTs, manage forecasts, support treasury, and ensure data accuracy across SAP and Power BI. The role requires collaboration with international teams and adherence to BPSS/NSV security standards.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualification in accounting or finance.
• Strong business acumen and drive for change.
• Interpersonal and team skills to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently across cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office; ERP systems (prefer SAP) and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Support financial management of major, long-term contracts with monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
• Provide financial insight within IPTs and support governance.
• Manage contract forecasts, cash flow and P&L/Balance Sheet items.
• Post monthly cost and revenue journals in SAP and ensure IFRS compliance.
• Coordinate with Italy to ensure reporting consistency and accuracy.
• Assist with audits and ad hoc finance requests.
• Contribute to annual budget process and data in Power BI.
