Job summary

Leonardo UK seeks a Project Accountant in Yeovil to support the Senior Project Accountant in financial management of major contracts. You will guide budgeting, forecasting and reporting under IFRS and contractual obligations, contributing to robust financial controls.

You will collaborate with IPTs, manage forecasts, post journals in SAP, and work with Italy to ensure consolidated reporting. Strong analytical, communication and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
IFRS knowledge is preferred but not essential.
Experience with SAP and financial reporting tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Support the financial management of major, long-term contracts, including monthly financial reporting, forecasting and annual budgeting.
Represent Finance within Programme IPTs, providing financial insight and robust financial control.
Review and manage contract forecasts including costs to complete, cash forecasting, P&L and balance sheet items.
Post monthly cost and revenue journals in SAP and ensure IFRS compliance.
Coordinate with colleagues in Italy to ensure consolidated programme position and reporting consistency.
Assist with ad hoc finance requests and annual budget process; provide data in Power BI.
