Leonardo UK in Yeovil is seeking a commercially focused qualified accountant to support long-term contracts within CS&T Finance. You will own forecasting, budgeting and monthly reports, ensure IFRS compliance, and provide financial leadership within integrated project teams.

In this role you’ll challenge contract costs, monitor performance, liaise with auditors, and deliver timely insights to influence decision making. Travel may be required, with hybrid working supported at our Yeovil site.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Ability to explain and challenge proper accounting treatment.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking with high attention to detail.
• Clear communication and ability to build relationships across levels.
• Ability to work independently and across teams.
• Strong influencing skills to champion change.
• Proficient IT skills, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience with SAP and BI tools advantageous.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Provide monthly forecasts, reporting and budgeting for long-term contracts.
• Analyse contract costs to complete and related schedules.
• Forecast cash, support treasury, manage P&L and balance sheet items.
• Monitor contract performance and provide leadership in IPT.
• Prepare for audits and liaise with auditors.
• Ensure timely month-end reporting and SAP contract maintenance.
• Handle ad-hoc requests from Financial Controller.
• Travel within UK/overseas as needed.
