Job summary

Kier Group in London is seeking a Management Accountant to join our Thames Water framework team. You will work with the Finance Manager to deliver robust financial reporting and commercial insight for major infrastructure projects.

The role offers flexible location with a mix of office and home working, 37.5 hours per week, and the chance to influence project performance through detailed analysis and timely month-end processes.

Qualifications

• You hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or are at final stage part qualified.
• You have excellent commercial knowledge and demonstrable experience in a construction environment, with project accounting background.
• You possess advanced data analytic and excel skills.
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating with others.
• You're focused on continuous improvement and always looking for ways to enhance processes and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly project financial reports, forecasts, cost reports, cashflow updates and budget variance analysis.
• Challenge project teams on financials; support decisions on cost control, procurement and reporting.
• Oversee project accounting records for accurate income, expenditure, commitments and accruals.
• Manage month-end close: journals, reconciliations and reporting packs.
• Prepare financial analysis for project reviews and senior leadership updates.
