Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Southern Water Services team, based in a hybrid setup with work from home/falmer. You will be responsible for cost control, value maximisation, and contract compliance on major water infrastructure projects, leveraging NEC contracts and Target Cost experience.

Collaboration with clients and subcontractors is essential for success. The role offers mentoring opportunities and a clear path to develop within a leading contractor on critical water

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC contracts and Target Costs.
• Experience in construction, water or civils sectors.
• Strong IT skills with Excel and experience with Oracle and Causeway.
• Excellent communication with clients.
• Motivated to learn and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Measuring works and preparing monthly and final payment applications.
• Monitoring project costs and value with contractual notifications.
• Managing subcontract applications and assessments.
• Supporting operations with contract compliance and procurement strategy.
• Mentoring junior team members and liaising with client and subcontract teams.
