Job summary

Value Match, a UK procurement and resourcing specialist, seeks a West Yorkshire-based Procurement Manager/Specialist for a permanent role. Hybrid work with on-site 1-2 days weekly and salary £35-45K depending on experience.

You will support procurement delivery across education sectors, building relationships with customers and suppliers. The role emphasizes ethical and sustainable procurement, end-to-end management, and navigating evolving regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of procurement experience, ideally in the public sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CIPS qualified or equivalent experience.
• Strong commercial awareness to develop and build effective solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to identify solutions to support customers.
• Understanding of Social Value including how to embed through procurement to achieve objectives.
• Knowledge of PCRs and willingness to proactively learn and adopt new legislation/policy notes to improve outcomes and ensure compliance.
• Good appreciation of compliance, sustainability and social values.
• Ability to work at pace with conflicting priorities.
• An understanding of the incoming changes to the procurement regulations would be a distinct advantage.
• Full UK driving licence with own transport is a distinct advantage.
