Job summary

4M Recruitment is recruiting a Procurement Specialist on a permanent basis to support UK public sector customers with access to 4000+ pre-approved suppliers across multiple categories.

The role covers end-to-end sourcing, relationship building with clients and suppliers, drafting Statements of Work, monitoring activities, and delivering MI for reviews while mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
• CIPS qualification or working toward it is highly advantageous.
• Procurement experience within a public sector context is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Candidates should be highly organised with strong stakeholder skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment with a solutions-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end sourcing and procurement activity.
• Engage and build relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Assist with creation of Statements of Works.
• Monitor procurement activities and performance.
• Produce data and management information for service reviews.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to improvements.
