Job summary

BUZZ Bingo is seeking a dedicated Player Protection Officer to join the Risk & Compliance team on a hybrid basis in the UK. The role focuses on safeguarding players, conducting risk assessments, and leading enhanced due diligence to prevent fraud and money laundering.

You will analyse customer activity, manage SARs, and collaborate with retail and digital teams to enhance safer gambling practices. A strong AML background and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Player Protection within regulated environments (iGaming, Bingo, Casino, or Finance).
• Strong understanding of POCA, TACT, LCCP, GDPR and the Gambling Act.
• Hands-on experience with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
• Excellent communication and empathy handling sensitive conversations.
• Attention to detail and investigative mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and forensic profiling of customer accounts.
• Investigate escalated cases of fraud and suspicious behaviour.
• Engage with customers to understand circumstances and ensure safe play.
• Lead EDD investigations including Source of Funds/Wealth reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and complete SARs.
• Collaborate with retail and digital teams for a safer gambling experience.
• Present findings to senior governance meetings and contribute to policy improvements.
