Job summary

Salt Recruitment is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the ICT team in Nottingham, UK. The role involves administering Windows, Linux, VMware and Azure infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable services across 1,000+ servers and 10,000 users.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage incidents, deploy upgrades, and implement changes within ITIL-guided processes. A strong background in core infrastructure and communication is essential.

Qualifications

• At least five years' relevant ICT infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Windows Server/Wintel, Linux, VMware and Azure.
• Strong Active Directory and Group Policy knowledge.
• Experience in ITIL practices and multi-tenant environments.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer Windows Server/Wintel, Linux and VMware environments alongside Azure.
• Maintain core infrastructure services including AD, Group Policy, SCCM, encrypted email, certificates and file shares.
• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain platform infrastructure with a focus on security.
