Job summary

VIQU IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a major enterprise customer in Warwickshire on a 5-month contract.

The role focuses on an Azure-based hybrid platform (75% Azure / 25% on‑prem), with emphasis on platform transformation, automation and production support, and hands-on work with Terraform, VMware and Windows Server.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of hybrid platform and infrastructure changes.
• Drive Azure platform modernisation and Landing Zone migration.
• Manage Azure compute, networking, storage, identity and security services.
• Maintain Azure/on-prem hybrid connectivity.
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Work with Architecture, Security and Engineering teams on platform improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation and platform standards.

Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote - Warwickshire
