Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Barnsley. This hybrid role combines home working with time at our assessment centres, allowing you to use your clinical expertise without hands-on frontline duties.

You'll conduct PIP assessments, analyse medical evidence, and produce detailed reports to clear clinical frameworks. The position offers predictable hours, structured pay progression, and opportunities for ongoing training within a supportive hybrid

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or Allied Health Professional.
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems (typing speed 35 WPM).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend the assessment centre as required.
