Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is hiring a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Barnsley. This hybrid role leverages your nursing or allied health background to perform PIP assessments, focusing on clinical reasoning and detailed report writing.

You will assess via face-to-face or phone, analyse evidence, and produce evidence-based reports while adhering to quality standards. The role offers a structured pay progression, a supportive training framework, and a balanced hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC registered professional.
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend assessment centre as required.
