Job summary

Gaia Recruitment is expanding our Functional Assessor team for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments, with roles starting next year. The role is 3 days on-site and 2 days from home, blending desk work with clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered clinician with 2+ years post-registration experience.
• Experience conducting PIP assessments or similar evaluations is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clear clinical reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Carry out face-to-face and telephone/video functional assessments for PIP.
• Review medical evidence and claimant history to form a clinical picture.
• Conduct structured consultations to assess how health conditions affect daily life.
• Produce detailed, well-reasoned reports to inform DWP decisions.
• Apply clinical judgement within a structured assessment framework.
• Maintain quality and productivity standards in a supportive environment.
• Collaborate with a wider clinical team with peer support and case discussions.
