Job summary

Gaia Recruitment is helping recruit experienced clinicians for Functional Assessor roles starting in 2027. You will conduct PIP assessments and write evidence-based reports that inform DWP decisions.

The role offers 3 days on-site and 2 days from home, with a structured training pathway and supportive supervision. We seek Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Paramedics or Pharmacists with at least 1 year post‑registration, strong written and verbal communication, and

Qualifications

• Registered clinician with post-registration experience.
• Experience in PIP assessments preferred.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out face-to-face and remote functional assessments with PIP claimants.
• Review medical evidence and claimant histories to build a clinical picture.
• Conduct structured consultations exploring daily living needs.
• Write clear, evidence-based reports to inform DWP decisions.
• Work to quality and productivity standards with supervision.
• Collaborate with Clinical Leads and the wider clinical team.
