Job summary

Pro‑Recruitment Group is seeking a Payroll Administrator in Poole. The role supports delivering accurate payroll services to a diverse client portfolio, with a focus on Care Homes. Hybrid working is available and the salary ranges from £25,000 to £30,000 per year.

You will process payrolls, onboard clients, stay updated on payroll legislation, liaise with HMRC, and act as the main contact for your client portfolio, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and its practical application.
• Previous experience processing payrolls and managing a portfolio of clients. Experience of working with Care Homes would be advantageous.
• A client-focused approach, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and strict deadlines.
• The confidence to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
• Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process a varied portfolio of client payrolls accurately and efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Onboard new client payrolls, ensuring data is accurate, complete and set up effectively.
• Keep up to date with payroll legislation and ensure changes are implemented correctly.
• Liaise with HMRC regarding employer payments and payroll-related queries.
• Act as the main point of contact for a designated portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Respond to client queries promptly, professionally and accurately, within agreed timescales.
• Manage and prioritise workloads independently to meet client requirements and business deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, increase efficiency and enhance the client experience.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing knowledge and providing support where needed.
• Maintain a professional, proactive approach while ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance and service delivery.
