Job summary

Sheridan Maine London seeks a Payroll Specialist in Poole for a well-regarded accountancy practice. This full-time, hybrid role (3 days in the office, 2 from home) offers £28,000 to £30,000 annually and focuses on delivering accurate payroll services across a varied client portfolio.

Responsibilities include processing payrolls, RTI submissions, pension auto-enrolment, and year-end tasks, with a strong emphasis on client service and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payrolls for multiple clients and sizes.
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation including PAYE and NI.
• Proficient with payroll software and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, monthly and quarterly payrolls for diverse clients.
• Submit RTI returns to HMRC and meet all deadlines.
• Handle deductions, pensions auto-enrolment and legislated payments.
• Manage starters, leavers, salary changes, overtime, bonuses and expenses.
• Provide timely responses to payroll queries and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with year-end payroll procedures and statutory reporting.
