Job summary

Bath Spa University seeks a Payroll & pensions Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This permanent, part-time role (18.5 hours/week, 0.5 FTE) is hybrid with 1-2 days in the office.

You will help deliver accurate payroll and pensions services to over 2,200 staff and support improvements across the function. You will process payroll and pension transactions, advise employees, and assist with TPS/LGPS, iTrent and year-end activities, while maintaining high standards of data integrity and

Qualifications

• Recent, significant experience of payroll processing.
• Experience working on large payrolls.
• Experience working with LGPS/TPS pensions.
• Intermediate/advanced Excel and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and pension transactions accurately and on time.
• Provide professional payroll and pensions guidance to employees and managers.
• Support TPS/LGPS pension administration and year-end activities.
• Collaborate with HR and payroll provider to ensure compliance and service quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes and documentation.
