Job summary

DS Associates Recruitment is hiring an Occupational Therapist Functional Assessor in Southampton. The role is hybrid, blending office and home working, with a 9–5, Monday–Friday schedule. Starting salary is £40,000 (PIP) to £42,000 (WCA) per year, with a bonus scheme and benefits.

You will assess clients for PIP/ESA and produce detailed reports for DWP decisions. The position requires at least 1 year post-qualification UK registration (NMC/HCPC or similar), strong observational and communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
• Excellent observational and communication skills.
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Conduct file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments.
• Prepare comprehensive reports to inform DWP decisions.
• Support CPD and ongoing professional development within the role.
