Job summary

Deutsche Bank in London is seeking a Network Operations Engineer (Level 2) to join Global Network Services. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and restore critical network services across the bank's global infrastructure, working with Level 3 engineers, vendors, and engineering teams to resolve complex issues.

As a Level 2 engineer, you will contribute to incident, change, and problem management, execute approved changes, and maintain documentation while developing deeper expertise across routing,

Qualifications

• Enterprise network operations or infrastructure support experience.
• Working knowledge of IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience troubleshooting network incidents using monitoring platforms, logs, packet captures, and diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of ITIL-aligned Incident, Problem, and Change Management practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, support, and restore critical network services across Deutsche Bank's global infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, connectivity, DNS, load balancing, and network access issues.
• Execute approved operational changes, break-fix activities, and post-change validation tasks.
• Support Major Incident, Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Work with Level 3 engineers, engineering teams, and vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
• Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and contribute to service improvement activities.
