Job summary

Strata Solicitors, the in-house law firm of Gallagher Bassett, seeks a Qualified Solicitor to manage a caseload of litigated defendant motor claims in Tamworth, UK. The role includes providing supervision and guidance to junior team members within the Litigation team.

Key requirements include defence claims handling experience in an insurer/TPA environment, strong communication, and eligibility to work in the UK. Hybrid arrangement after probation with office days and remote days.

Qualifications

• Must be a Qualified Solicitor.
• Experience in defence claims handling within an insurer or TPA environment.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Willingness to work on-site in Tamworth during probation, then hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Responsibilities

• Defend litigated motor claims from issue through to trial.
• Assess liability and manage reserves per SLAs and KPIs.
• Investigate third-party claims and negotiate with insurers, solicitors, and stakeholders.
• Value general and special damages per CPR and authorities.
• Supervise and provide guidance to Claims Administration Assistants.
• Maintain adherence to Solicitors Accounts Rules for all financials.
