Job summary

Strata Solicitors, Gallagher Bassett's in-house law firm, is seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead our Defence team. This role focuses on motor claims, client service, and developing high-performing teams within a specialist practice.

You will oversee operations, manage relationships with corporate clients, drive service levels and KPIs, and contribute to strategic objectives while promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration across the business.

Qualifications

• Extensive motor claims experience within a legal, insurance or claims management environment.
• Proven leadership or people-management experience leading a team.
• Strong stakeholder management and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Claims Handlers to meet objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and drive service levels.
• Ensure SLAs and KPIs are consistently achieved and report on performance.
• Manage complaints, escalations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare client reports and participate in service review meetings.
