Job summary

Able Consult in Wolverhampton is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a growing water and wastewater engineering business. You will work on pumps, pipework, pressure vessels and process equipment from design through commissioning.

The role focuses on delivering projects and collaborating with suppliers, customers and internal teams, ensuring designs meet standards and requirements. Hybrid working and a £50,000 salary are on offer, with opportunities for long-term career development and exposure

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (BEng Hons or equivalent).
• Mechanical engineering experience within water, wastewater, process, manufacturing, energy or other industrial environments.
• Understanding of mechanical systems and equipment used within industrial engineering projects.
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of engineering standards and quality requirements.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Familiarity with engineering design and analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review engineering calculations, technical specifications and technical documentation.
• Work closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards and project requirements.
• Support equipment selection, technical reviews, testing and commissioning activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practice.
• Provide technical support throughout project delivery.
