Job summary

Matchtech Group recruits a Mechanical and Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer for water sector projects in Warrington. The role leads feasibility through to detailed design, working with clients and project teams to develop robust mechanical solutions for wastewater and water treatment.

You will mentor engineers, review site infrastructure, and produce specifications, calculations, drawings and risk assessments while supporting delivery across major frameworks and ensuring time, cost, and

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or closely allied subject, ideally IMechE accredited.
• Significant water industry experience, chartered or working towards chartership ideally.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, P&IDs, specifications, procurement and CDM regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary wastewater and water treatment projects from feasibility to detailed design.
• Develop mechanical solutions and review existing site infrastructure.
• Produce specifications, calculations, drawings, reports and design risk assessments.
• Support delivery across major frameworks and guide junior engineers.
