Job summary

Slater and Gordon Lawyers (UK) is seeking a proactive Legal Assistant to join the Fast Track Road Traffic Accident team. You will manage a small caseload of SCT matters and support administration across a legacy portfolio of settled claims, ensuring efficient progression and excellent client service.

You will develop legal knowledge, build case management skills and work with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. A hybrid working arrangement and salary package are offered.

Qualifications

• Relevant administrative or legal assistant experience in a law firm or legal setting.
• Familiarity with Small Claims Track processes and civil court procedures is advantageous.
• Proactive approach with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small caseload of Small Claims Track RTA cases from allocation to settlement.
• Assist with administration, billing and file closure for legacy settled claims.
• Support case progression, liaise with clients, insurers and others.
• Prepare correspondence, attendance notes and internal documents.
• Assist with hearing prep, court directions and documentation control.
• Provide support to fast-track fee earners during absences.
