Job summary

HF is recruiting an Assistant Solicitor / Fee Earner for its Large & Complex Loss team in Cardiff. The role is hybrid with 1–2 days in the office each week and involves handling high-value personal injury claims, from guidance to trial preparation, within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

You will work alongside experienced lawyers on multi-track cases and develop expertise in catastrophic injury work while delivering excellent client service and meeting SLAs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE or equivalent experience handling complex personal injury claims.
• Experience in multi-track litigation is essential.
• Strong background in personal injury litigation and large loss work is desirable.
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support Partners and Senior Solicitors with day-to-day management of catastrophic and complex injury claims.
• Assist with pre- and post-litigation multi-track personal injury cases.
• Review evidence, draft legal correspondence and develop case strategies.
• Prepare court documents and ensure compliance with directions and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate file records and manage court timetables.
• Attend client meetings, conferences with counsel and expert witnesses.
