Job summary

The Institution of Engineering & Technology is seeking an IT Support Technician in Stevenage with hybrid working. You will be the trusted point of contact for technical support across the head office and wider locations, delivering professional, responsive IT service.

You'll manage Microsoft 365, desktop operating systems, end-user devices, telephony and meeting room technology, logging incidents and driving service improvements with a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused IT professional with experience supporting within a busy business environment.
• Strong troubleshooting across Microsoft desktop environments and Microsoft 365 apps.
• Experience supporting hardware including laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Microsoft desktop operating systems and Microsoft 365 and related business applications.
• Support and maintain user devices including PCs, laptops, mobile devices and Apple hardware.
• Deliver support for telephony systems and audio-visual meeting room technology.
• Diagnose, log and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Monitor systems proactively to identify and address potential problems and contribute to IT projects.
