Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority in Oxfordshire is seeking an IT Support professional to deliver 1st line IT assistance across the organisation, focusing on Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory, networking and hardware. You will be a key contact for end users, triaging incidents and requests to ensure smooth operations.

You’ll support onboarding and remote users, assist with imaging, and help maintain user self-service through documented procedures.

Qualifications

• A-level qualification or equivalent in IT or science.
• Clear, professional communication with users.
• Experience with IT service desks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk IT Service Desk: first contact to resolve incidents and requests.
• Troubleshoot Windows devices; support macOS, Linux and mobile devices.
• Imaging laptops/desktops and deploying devices.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Assist with networking, printing, telecoms and remote access.
• Manage activities via IT service management tool; track progress.
• Create and maintain support procedures and knowledge articles.
