Job summary

Intec Select in London is seeking an experienced 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer for a 6-month contract. You will provide hands-on technical support across a busy user environment, resolving incidents and service requests while escalating complex issues where required.

The role covers 1st/2nd line support across desktop and software, with strong focus on Windows, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, and you will assist users both remotely and on-site in the London office.

Qualifications

Experience in 1st/2nd line service desk or desktop support.
Strong troubleshooting across Windows and common business applications.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory identity/access management.
Experience supporting laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripheral hardware.
Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and connectivity troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support across desktop, laptop, software and user-access issues.
Troubleshoot incidents across hardware, operating systems, applications and connectivity.
Manage user onboarding, offboarding, account access and permissions.
Own incidents and service requests through to resolution, escalating where necessary.
Support users remotely and face-to-face across the London office.
Maintain accurate ticketing, technical documentation and knowledge-base information.
Work closely with wider IT teams to resolve recurring issues and improve the overall user experience.
