Job summary

Set2Recruit is recruiting for a junior AI and automation-focused role at a Preston MSP. The role suits someone early in their IT career with 1–2 years on a busy service desk, especially in MSP environments, and a solid grounding in Microsoft technologies.

You will work with senior engineers to design Microsoft AI-powered workflows, Copilot, Power Platform and Azure AI solutions, document outcomes, and develop quickly into a specialist engineer with a clear progression path.

Qualifications

1–2 years in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
Background in a Service Desk, IT Support, or Technical Support role.
Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID.
Genuine enthusiasm for Artificial Intelligence, automation and emerging technology.
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to development.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Supporting the implementation and development of AI and automation solutions for clients.
Work with engineers to design and deliver Microsoft AI-powered workflows.
Contribute to the development and rollout of Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform and Azure AI solutions.
Assist with analysis of client environments to identify AI opportunities.
Document processes, solutions and outcomes to a high standard.
Stay up to date with AI developments and Microsoft's roadmap.
Support the wider service desk during busy periods.
