Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead high‑impact defence and technology projects in Hampshire. The role is hybrid with two days onsite weekly, offering up to £65,000 per annum plus benefits and active SC clearance.

You will plan, coordinate and deliver complex projects, liaising with engineers, suppliers and customers to ensure milestones are met and risks are managed. This is a fast‑paced technical environment requiring clear communication and proactive prioritisation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects in engineering, technology, research or consultancy.
• Degree and/or equivalent professional experience.
• PM qualification such as APM, PMI or PRINCE2 or working towards one.
• Strong planning and stakeholder management.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proactive, self-managed with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery to time, cost and quality objectives.
• Develop project plans, timelines and resource schedules.
• Track progress against milestones and flag risks or delays.
• Support resource planning and team utilisation.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and meeting records.
• Organise project meetings with agendas and actions.
• Support risk, issue and opportunity management.
• Assist with budget monitoring and procurement activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, subcontractors and partners.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
