Job summary

West Midlands Police’s IT & Digital Cloud Services Team seeks an experienced Cloud Services Engineer to manage Office 365 and Azure provisioning, security, and operations in a hybrid on-site role.

The role focuses on Azure, Microsoft 365 coverage (Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, SharePoint), and cloud security, with vetting and security clearance as part of the process. Flexible hours from 08:00–16:00 and on-site days 60% are expected.

Qualifications

• Essential: Knowledge of Cloud Technologies relating to Azure Stack: Subscriptions, Scale Sets, Virtual Machines, Storage, Sentinel and Backups.
• Desirable: Experience in Identity Management solutions such as SailPoint.
• Desirable: Understanding of ITIL framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical skills for security, availability and performance of Cloud Technologies (M365 and Azure).
• Support and maintain Microsoft 365 including Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, SharePoint.
• Ensure incident, configuration, availability, capacity, continuity and release management per ITIL.
