Job summary

1st Central in Salford Quays, Manchester, seeks a Third Party Intervention Advisor to join our Claims Ownership team. The role focuses on proactive management of third‑party motor claims where our customer is at fault, engaging third parties and promoting the benefits of our intervention service.

You will drive claim progression, negotiate settlements and coordinate repairs, aiming to minimise indemnity spend and deliver positive customer outcomes with professional, empathetic service.

Qualifications

• Active engagement in sales, customer service, claims or target-driven environments.
• Understanding of claim lifecycle management and timely progression.
• Awareness of indemnity control, leakage reduction and cost mitigation.
• Ability to influence customer decisions and handle objections effectively.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales techniques to maximise intervention capture and conversion.
• Identify customer needs and tailor conversations for positive outcomes.
• Progress claims from initial contact through to resolution with timely actions.
• Own diary management and claim progression; maintain accountability.
• Identify opportunities to mitigate indemnity spend via repairs and mobility services.
• Control hire, repair and third‑party costs; challenge unnecessary expenditure.
• Drive claim progression through proactive engagement with suppliers, insurers and customers.
• Engage in negotiations to secure commercially beneficial outcomes with strong customer service.
• Meet team and individual targets related to capture, progression, outcomes and cost control.
