Macildowie Recruitment and Retention is recruiting an Interim Group Reporting Accountant to join a well-established business in the East Midlands for a 4-5 month period. The role is hybrid with 3 days on-site and focuses on consolidation and group reporting to support closing processes during a busy period.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with hands-on consolidation experience, IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge, and strong stakeholder management to work with external auditors

Qualifications

• Hands-on consolidation experience across multiple entities.
• Experience preparing group financial statements and accounts.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated monthly management accounts and forecasts to support Group reporting and financial planning.
• Drive the integration of financial and management accounting close processes for consistent reporting.
• Lead half-year and year-end statutory consolidations.
• Prepare and review consolidation journals, intercompany balances and Group adjustments.
• Oversee reserves management, including intragroup dividends and distributable reserves.
• Produce Audit Committee papers covering reporting issues.
• Lead statutory Group accounts and coordinate with external auditors.
• Investigate and resolve consolidation issues ensuring proper accounting treatment.
