Job summary

Reporting Accountant (Interim) at Vwa Ltd in the West End is an experienced finance professional to own month-end and group reporting on an ongoing interim basis. This role offers hybrid working, four days in the office and one day remote, with a strong likelihood of extension and potential permanent move.

You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with Big 4 training, and you will lead statutory reporting under IFRS/FRS 102, manage group audits and consolidation, and coach junior staff while driving

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or FRS 102.
• Experience with group audits, consolidation and statutory reporting.
• Experience in a Big 4 or top-tier firm.
• Excellent analytical and accounting policy-writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Run month-end close, group management accounts and consolidation.
• Prepare statutory accounts under IFRS/FRS 102 for the group and subsidiaries.
• Lead the external audit as main auditor contact and manage the audit file.
• Write technical accounting papers on IFRS 15, 16, 9 and acquisitions.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and strengthen reporting controls.
• Support reporting packs for board, investors and lenders, including covenant calculations.
• Drive process improvements and ERP/consolidation projects.
• Coach and review junior team members’ work.

The Client:

A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking an experienced Reporting Accountant to own its month-end and year-end reporting on an ongoing interim basis.

The Role:

This is an ideal first step in-house for someone who has recently left Big 4 audit or advisory and wants to try industry before committing to a permanent move. Career returners are also very welcome, and there's scope to go permanent for the right person.

Duties will include:

• Running month-end close, group management accounts and consolidation.
• Preparing statutory accounts under IFRS or FRS 102 for the group and its subsidiaries.
• Leading the external audit as the main auditor contact, preparing the audit file and resolving findings.
• Writing technical accounting papers on areas such as IFRS 15, 16, 9 and acquisitions.
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and strengthening financial reporting controls.
• Supporting board, investor and lender reporting packs, including covenant calculations.
• Driving process and systems improvements, including ERP or consolidation projects.
• Coaching and reviewing the work of junior team members.

Successful candidates will:

• Be ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified.
• Have trained in Big 4 or top 10 audit, at Assistant Manager or Manager level.
• Have strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or FRS 102.
• Bring experience of group audits, consolidation and statutory reporting.
• Be available to start within 1-4 weeks and comfortable on an interim contract.

• £75k-£90k temp equivalent.
