Job summary

Blusource Professional Services Ltd is seeking an Interim Financial Controller / Group Accountant to lead group reporting and strengthen finance processes across a growing SME. The role is based between Nottingham, Leicester and Derby, with a genuine hands-on remit producing management accounts and consolidations.

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, bring multi-company consolidation experience, and contribute to acquisitions and due diligence while delivering timely,

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Experience in multi-company/group environment and consolidations is essential.
• Experience producing monthly management accounts and group reporting.
• Strong technical and commercial capability is required.
• Experience with due diligence and financial integration is advantageous.

Interim Financial Controller / Group Accountant

East Midlands 6 Month Contract Growing SME Group

Are you a qualified accountant who enjoys getting under the skin of a business, improving reporting and bringing structure to a growing finance function?

We are recruiting an Interim Financial Controller / Group Accountant for an ambitious, acquisitive SME group based between Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. Having expanded significantly over the last months, the business now needs an experienced finance professional to take ownership of group reporting and help strengthen its financial processes and controls.

This is a genuinely hands‑on role. You ll work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, but you ll also be comfortable getting into the detail producing management accounts, consolidating multiple entities, improving processes and ensuring the numbers are accurate and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing monthly management accounts and consolidated group reporting
• Improving reporting processes, controls and balance sheet integrity
• Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital
• Providing clear financial analysis and commercial insight to senior management
• Standardising reporting across multiple businesses
• Supporting future acquisitions, including due diligence and financial integration
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and financial information
• Helping shape the future structure and capability of the finance function

We re looking for an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with strong technical and commercial capability. Previous experience within a multi-company/group environment and consolidations is particularly important, alongside the ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on.

Experience of acquisitions, private equity or Power BI would be advantageous but isn ’t essential.
