Job summary

Blusource Professional Services Ltd is recruiting an Interim Financial Controller / Group Accountant for an acquisitive SME group based between Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. This six-month, hands-on role reports to the CEO and senior leadership, delivering accurate reporting and strong financial control.

You will consolidate multiple entities, produce monthly management accounts, and drive improvements in processes, systems and information across the finance function.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with strong technical and commercial capability.
• Experience in multi-company/group environment and consolidations.
• Experience with acquisitions, private equity or Power BI is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Interim Financial Controller / Group AccountantEast Midlands 6 Month Contract Growing SME Group

Are you a qualified accountant who enjoys getting under the skin of a business, improving reporting and bringing structure to a growing finance function?

We are recruiting an Interim Financial Controller / Group Accountant for an ambitious, acquisitive SME group based between Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. Having expanded significantly over the last 12–18 months, the business now needs an experienced finance professional to take ownership of group reporting and help strengthen its financial processes and controls.

This is a genuinely hands‑on role. You’ll work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, but you’ll also be comfortable getting into the detail – producing management accounts, consolidating multiple entities, improving processes and ensuring the numbers are accurate and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities will include:

We’re looking for an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with strong technical and commercial capability. Previous experience within a multi-company/group environment and consolidations is particularly important, alongside the ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on.

Experience of acquisitions, private equity or Power BI would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
