Avencia Talent Solutions Limited is partnering with a leading international insurer to recruit an Underwriting Support Assistant for Professional & Management Risks in Leeds. The role sits in a busy renewals team, offering hands-on underwriting exposure and professional qualification support on a 12‑month fixed-term basis.

You’ll be the front-line support, handling broker calls, chasing renewals and managing workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for broker calls and emails.
• Good organisational skills and ability to multitask.
• Proactive approach with ownership of tasks.
• Willingness to learn and develop in underwriting.

Responsabilités

• Handle inbound broker calls and outbound follow-ups.
• Chase renewals and obtain outstanding renewal information by phone/email.
• Progress renewals, mid-term adjustments, referrals and inquiries.
• Set up and maintain files, prepare documentation, assist policy processing.
• Manage renewal pipelines and diary deadlines.
• Enter data into underwriting systems accurately.
• Direct cases to the appropriate underwriter when needed.
• Build relationships with brokers, underwriters and colleagues.
