Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a proactive Project Controls Specialist to join the Project Controls team on major infrastructure and engineering programmes in the UK. You will support reporting, cost management, planning, risk control and governance to help deliver complex projects.

You will work with experienced professionals to develop skills in project controls, gain exposure to large-scale programmes, and contribute to continuous improvement and digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Finance, Business Management or related discipline.
• Alternatively, relevant industry experience combined with a willingness to develop within Project Controls.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project reports, dashboards and performance metrics.
• Assist with cost tracking, forecasting and budget monitoring.
• Maintain project schedules and monitor milestones.
• Support risk and opportunity management, including risk registers.
• Assist with change control processes and project documentation.
• Analyze project data to provide decision-enabling insights.
• Support monthly reporting and governance requirements.
• Maintain accurate project records in project systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, planners, and commercial teams.
