Job summary

The AA is seeking an Identity & Access Manager to lead the evolution of our IAM program, driving governance, strategic direction and security outcomes across a complex technology landscape.

You will collaborate with senior technology and business leaders to shape the IAM roadmap, ensure secure, scalable identity services, and align with a modern organisation. This role suits those ready to step into first-line people leadership while staying hands-on with delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong cyber security expertise with significant IAM depth in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven experience leading IAM transformation, improving capability, governance, architecture or operating models.
• Hands-on experience across modern and legacy identity environments, including AD to Entra migration.
• Deep knowledge of modern IAM technologies and principles, including Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance, PAM, Zero Trust, cloud identity services and non-human identities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capability with senior leaders.
• Leadership capability to coach technical specialists while remaining close to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation and maturity of The AA's IAM capability, defining strategy, governance, standards and technical direction.
• Shape and deliver the IAM roadmap, ensuring identity services support business priorities, regulatory expectations and cyber risk.
• Act as a senior authority for identity security, influencing executives and delivery teams to drive secure outcomes.
• Lead development of modern identity capabilities across privileged access, governance, Zero Trust and cloud identity.
• Establish governance, assurance and reporting that demonstrates control effectiveness while driving continual improvement.
• Lead and develop a growing IAM capability, coaching technical specialists and fostering accountability.
