Job summary

Reed Technology is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Manager to take ownership of the IAM strategy, roadmap and governance for a large, distributed organisation. The role focuses on developing and maturing the organisation's identity environment, improving governance, increasing automation and ensuring identity services remain secure and scalable.

You'll lead a small IAM team and partner with Security, Infrastructure, Applications, HR and external technology partners.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise identity and access management.
• Proven track record of leading IAM strategy or transformation programmes.
• Strong knowledge of IGA, lifecycle management, PAM/PIM, authentication and access governance.
• Experience across cloud, on-premise or hybrid identity environments.
• Proven ability to drive automation and governance while simplifying processes.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the organisation's IAM strategy, architecture and roadmap.
• Drive improvements across Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
• Strengthen Joiner, Mover and Leaver (JML) processes and identity lifecycle management.
• Oversee privileged access, authentication, access reviews and RBAC.
• Improve automation and reduce reliance on manual IAM processes.
• Review the existing IAM technology and operating model and help shape the future approach.
• Provide governance across employee, contractor, privileged, service and application identities.
• Manage and develop a small IAM team.
• Work with senior stakeholders and third-party suppliers to deliver IAM improvements across the organisation.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Manager to take ownership of the IAM strategy, roadmap and governance for a large, complex and geographically distributed organisation.

This is a senior role with a strong focus on developing and maturing the organisation's identity environment, improving governance, increasing automation and ensuring identity services remain secure, scalable and effective.

You'll lead a small specialist IAM team while working closely with Security, Infrastructure, Applications, HR and external technology partners. The role combines strategic ownership and technical credibility, so we're looking for someone who understands IAM technology but is equally comfortable setting direction, influencing stakeholders and driving change.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop the organisation's IAM strategy, architecture and roadmap
• Drive improvements across Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)
• Strengthen Joiner, Mover and Leaver (JML) processes and identity lifecycle management

What we're looking for

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong experience within enterprise Identity & Access Management
• Experience owning or contributing significantly to an IAM strategy or transformation programme
• Good knowledge of IGA, identity lifecycle management, PAM/PIM, authentication and access governance
• Experience working with large, complex cloud, on-premise or hybrid identity environments
• A track record of improving IAM through automation, standardisation and stronger governance
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across multiple technology and business teams
• Previous leadership or team management experience

Experience with technologies such as Entra ID / Active Directory and enterprise IGA or PAM platforms would be beneficial, although we're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate broader IAM ownership rather than experience with one specific technology.
