Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd client in Cambridgeshire seeks an experienced Senior HR Advisor on a 3–6 month temporary contract. The role is full-time with hybrid working and starts immediately. You will manage end‑to‑end restructures, advise managers on consultation activity, handle employee relations matters and ensure compliant HR delivery.

Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Pay is £24–£28 per hour via Umbrella Company.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading restructures and advising managers on end‑to‑end change activities.
• Confidence running consultation processes across group briefings and individual meetings.
• Ability to work independently with sound, pragmatic decisions and minimal oversight.
• Strong judgement balancing risk, people impact and operational needs.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and handling sensitive conversations.

Responsibilities

• Support managers with employee relations matters and provide pragmatic HR advice.
• Advise on organisational change, restructures, consultations, redeployment and workforce planning.
• Manage employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and trade union reps to support positive relations outcomes.
• Coach managers on HR policies and best practices to build people management capability.
• Support delivery of HR projects and initiatives aligned to objectives and requirements.
• Ensure accurate case management, documentation and HR administration in line with legislation.
