Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited in Northampton is seeking a skilled Senior HR Advisor for a 3-month contract with a Local Authority. The role operates within a business partnering model, handling complex employee relations, TUPE transfers and organisational changes to support strategic workforce initiatives.

You will provide expert HR guidance to managers, coach on people management, and produce workforce data to inform planning.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in HR advisory within a complex organisation.
Ability to manage complex employee relations cases independently.
Experience supporting organisational change, restructuring and TUPE.
Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
CIPD Level 5 qualification; CIPD Level 7 desirable.
Must hold a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

Handle a range of complex HR cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, capability issues, sickness absences, redundancies, and organizational changes.
Offer professional HR advice and guidance to managers, ensuring adherence to employment laws, policies, and best practices.
Assist in planning and executing organizational change projects, restructures, and TUPE transfers.
Provide coaching, training, and support to managers on employee relations and people management issues.
Produce and analyse workforce data to identify trends and support workforce planning through management information and reporting.
