Job summary

Penguin Random House UK is seeking an HR Advisor to join the HR team in Frating, Colchester on a fixed-term contract until August 2027. You will work with managers across Distribution and Finance Services to advise on people matters and HR policy, supporting over 400 colleagues throughout the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in a generalist HR environment providing advise to managers.
• Experience supporting managers/HR colleagues with people matters.
• Exposure to absence management, disciplinaries, grievances or family leave.
• Good grounding in employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience working with unions or in an environment where unions are recognised.
• Familiarity with HR systems and maintaining accurate employee data.
• Ability to build positive working relationships across the business.
• Proactive mindset to develop HR career and advisory skills.
