Job summary

Preston Partnership is seeking a Housing Policy & Review Officer to join the Housing Advice and Prevention Service in Preston. This full-time, permanent role is based at Town Hall and offers hybrid working following probation.

You will help deliver timely homelessness decisions and support policy and procedure improvements within the housing service. You will work with internal teams, private and social landlords, and service users to provide accurate housing guidance, monitor accommodation

Qualifications

• Experience in housing policy and homelessness services.
• Well-organised with ability to deliver review decisions.
• Ability to liaise with landlords and service users.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely review decisions for homelessness cases.
• Support housing advice service and liaise with landlords and service users.
• Monitor accommodation standards and support move-on arrangements.
• Attend strategic meetings relating to the Move Choice Based Lettings Scheme.
• Maintain accurate records to meet statutory, safeguarding and financial duties.
