Job summary

Care Housing Association in the north of England is seeking a Housing Officer to join the Operations Team. You will manage a patch of tenancies, deliver high quality housing management, and work with tenants, colleagues and external agencies to ensure excellent service.

The role involves travel across the patch, some desk-based tasks, and close collaboration with assets, finance and development teams. Training is provided and a hybrid working model is in place.

Qualifications

• Experience of housing management or similar role (min 1 year)
• Good written and verbal communication skills; IT literate
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

• Manage a patch of tenancies across the full tenancy lifecycle (sign-ups to voids)
• Respond to tenant enquiries promptly and in line with policies
• Carry out regular property inspections and ensure properties are well maintained
• Work with tenants and partner agencies to resolve housing issues including antisocial behaviour
• Support tenants with housing-related financial matters including housing benefit applications
• Monitor rent accounts and coordinate repairs with the team
