Job summary

Homes in Somerset is seeking an experienced ASB Officer to tackle anti-social behaviour, hate crime and domestic abuse across the South area. You will manage cases end-to-end, gather evidence with partners, and take prompt action to protect tenants and leaseholders.

The role requires strong customer service, legal knowledge and the ability to work flexibly, including home visits. You will engage with victims, witnesses and partners, deliver effective communication and ensure compliance with GDPR

Qualifications

• Deliver high standards of customer service in housing/neighbourhood management.
• Manage a caseload responding to customer needs.
• Knowledge of housing management, tenancy issues and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with anti-social behaviour tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with council services, Police and partners to gather evidence and respond to ASB cases.
• Meet victims/witnesses to offer advice, gather evidence, and communicate progress.
• Take ownership of cases; use mediation/restorative approaches where appropriate.
• Be flexible with hours including site visits to gather evidence.
• Prepare case files for legal action and assist in court as needed.
• Apply relevant legislation and powers to prevent ASB.
• Support multi-agency problem-solving and maintain action plans.
• Address complaints and enquiries promptly within service standards.
• Contribute to service improvements and utilise technology to enhance delivery.
• Collaborate with teams to maximise service quality and community outcomes.
