Job summary

Housing Quality Network (HQN) in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Community Safety Officer to help create safe, sustainable communities where customers are proud to live.

You will manage ASB cases from initial assessment to resolution, work with affected residents and those responsible to achieve positive outcomes, and contribute to learning and development within the Housing team. Strong communication and empathy are essential, with a driving licence required for site travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in ASB, social housing, tenancy management or other customer-focused roles.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills; ability to build relations and manage challenging situations.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service with empathy and customer-focused approach.
• Enhanced DBS check (subject to satisfactory).
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle or alternative transport to meet role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases from initial assessment through to resolution.
• Carry out investigations, gather evidence, prepare witness statements, and support legal action where required.
• Work with those affected by ASB and those responsible to achieve positive outcomes.
• Represent Alliance Homes in partnership meetings and County Court proceedings where appropriate.
• Collaborate with the Housing team to deliver excellent services and support learning and development opportunities.
