Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a motivated Project Officer to support planning, coordination and delivery of highways projects within the Highways Client and Contracts Team. The role emphasizes strong communication, organisation and problem-solving to achieve positive outcomes for Lincolnshire.

The position offers hybrid working, combining Lancaster House Lincoln office with remote work, and occasional travel to other offices and depots. A driving licence and vehicle access are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel occasionally to other offices.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation and monitoring of projects to ensure successful delivery, including producing project plans, action logs, tracking milestones, organising meetings.
• Identify areas for improvement across highways service and support implementation of improvement projects (e.g., FixMyStreet platform and asset management system).
• Manage highways tenders throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliant communications, awarding contracts, and feedback to bidders as required by regulations.
• Support performance management via data analysis, process mapping and training to drive improvements.
• Liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders, suppliers and partner organisations.
