Leicester City Council is seeking a senior leader to manage a team of engineers and transport professionals responsible for delivering a multi-million-pound annual highways maintenance programme. The role requires strong leadership, strategic oversight, and collaboration with internal teams, consultants, and contractors.

You will oversee budgets, report to senior management, and ensure our highway assets are maintained to required standards.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and ability to manage a team of engineers and transport professionals.
• Experience in highway and bridge maintenance, design specifications, and asset management.
• Proven track record in programme, project and contractual management within construction contexts.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and delivery of a multi-year maintenance programme for highways assets.
• Provide technical guidance, manage budgets, and chair meetings with internal/external teams.
• Present to politicians and senior management and liaise with consultants, contractors and the public.
