Job summary

Nottingham City Council invites applications for the Technical Officer - Highway Licensing & Streetworks. The role supports administration of licenses and coordinates highway works within the city network. A proactive, customer-focused approach is essential.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid capacity, liaising with internal teams and external partners while delivering efficient services in line with local priorities.

Qualifications

• A good level of IT knowledge and skills including Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills for all forms of customer and citizen contact.
• The capability to work as part of a team and on their own with minimal supervision as required.
• A can do attitude and willingness to learn and comply with highways legislation.
• Be able to deliver and maintain the Network Management duties in line with local priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration and management of highways and streetworks licenses.
• Coordinate works and activities on the Nottingham City highway network.
• Support the Highway Network Management team under direction of senior roles.
• Maintain outputs to professional standards and liaise with stakeholders.
